The Minister for Justice, Jim O’Callaghan TD., stated in this Sunday Times article on 1st February 2026 that he would bring a Memo to the next Government meeting, seeking approval to bring forward amendments to implement a Disregard Scheme to the Criminal and Civil Justice (Misc) Bill currenlty going through the Oireachtas.
